Yesterday, Nordic Match was honored to participate in the Investment Forum organized by the European Chamber, themed “Chinese M&A in Times of Escalating Trade Tensions.” The event gathered business leaders and policy experts to explore the outlook for Chinese M&A activities amid rising geopolitical uncertainty.
Nordic Match Vice President Claire Shen delivered the Opening Keynote, sharing valuable insights into both Chinese and European markets. She discussed the renewed appetite among Chinese companies for domestic and international acquisitions and offered strategic guidance for global investors on navigating China’s evolving regulatory and financing landscape to successfully execute cross-border deals.
The forum also featured a Panel Discussion moderated by Mr. Kai Kim, Partner at Taylor Wessing, with distinguished panellists including Mr. Andre Zimmer, Head of M&A APAC at Bayer, Mr. Alexander Prautzsch, Tax Director at PwC, and Ms. Wenjia Zhu, Tax Partner at EY. The discussion offered valuable perspectives on tax, regulatory challenges, and M&A trends in the APAC region.
