Nordic Match Speaks at the 2026 M&A Excellence Days in Germany

Nordic Match was delighted to participate in the M&A Excellence Days 2026, organized by Bundesverband Mergers & Acquisitions gem. e.V. (BMA) and mandaco, on 4th–5th March at Goethe University Frankfurt. The M&A Excellence Days is a leading forum in Germany focusing fully on M&A, and Nordic Match was honored to join as a speaker to share insights on China M&A.
Our Partner Markus Dahlström and Associate Simon Forsgren delivered a keynote presentation on “M&A in China – Opportunities in a New World Order”. The presentation shared Nordic Match’s perspective on the evolving Europe-China investment landscape and explored key developments shaping M&A strategies for European companies.
Topics discussed included the recent China visit by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and its implications, trade and investment trends between Europe and China and their impact on regional corporate strategies in Asia, as well as the ongoing shift from decoupling to competitive coexistence. The presentation also addressed economic “involution” in China and how foreign multinationals can adapt, along with strategic considerations for pursuing M&A, joint ventures, and other inorganic initiatives in the Chinese market, and practical insights into best practices and common challenges when executing M&A transactions in China.
We were glad to see the strong interest in the presentation and an active Q&A, with China being a high-priority topic currently for many German corporates.
We sincerely thank BMA and mandaco for organizing such a high-quality event and bringing together leaders from across the M&A community. It was an honor for Nordic Match to share our insights on China M&A, and we look forward to continuing the conversation at next year’s M&A Excellence Days.
